Libra Ingress 1997
Four times each year, I shall remind you that it is important to
read the charts for the Ingress to each Cardinal Sign. It is time
now to talk about the Libra Ingress which is also called the Autumnal
Equinox. This year the Libra Ingress occurred on September 22, 1997
at 7:56 PM EDT.
Aside from the well-known fact that, at the Equator, the length
of the day equaled the length of the night on that date (Equinox),
7:56 PM EDT was also the moment when the Sun entered 00 degrees
Libra in the Tropical Zodiac. This is the moment of the Libra Ingress.
Twelve times a year, the Sun enters (makes an ingress into) a new
sign. A chart erected for each Ingress gives the Serious Astrologer
a new predictive tool. Some Ingresses are more potent than others.
The Capricorn Ingress, for example, provides predictive insight
for an entire year. The Libra Ingress, although less powerful, is
an Ingress to a Cardinal Sign and thus provides three months' worth
of predictive information. Its effect lasts until the Capricorn
Ingress.
To demonstrate the use of the Libra Ingress, and to provide an
interesting article, I have decided to view this Libra Ingress as
seen at the White House in Washington, D.C. Be assured, that for
my own personal use, I am also examining the Ingress as seen at
my home in Woodland Hills, California. I suggest that you erect
a horoscope for the moment of the Ingress, in your time zone, located
in the city where you live. You may also want to erect the chart
for the White House, so that you can duplicate the discoveries presented
in this article.
In the chart erected for the city where you live, if the Midheaven
or Ascendant happens to be conjunct or opposite something in your
personal horoscope, you can expect the next three months to be of
special importance to you, in the nature of the planet that aspects
the MC or ASC of the chart. I personally would use no more than
one degree of orb.
Let us direct our attention now to the Libra Ingress drawn for
the White House. The Sun, at 00 degrees and 00 minutes of Libra
falls in the sixth house of health, work, and service. Remember
also that the sixth house includes Government employees, Civil Service
employees, Military Personnel, and Public Health Officers. These
are some of the areas and people who will be in the spotlight or
receiving public scrutiny during these three months.
The Moon at the moment of the Ingress is at 23 degrees and ten minutes
of Gemini. This Moon is Void of Course. The Void of Course Moon
tells me that all the scrutiny of Government operations, such as
the Senate Hearings on Campaign Finance practices, Senate hearings
on the IRS, investigations of sexual misconduct among Military Personnel,
to name a few, will not have a fruitful conclusion within the next
three months. Some of these investigations will appear to have been
abandoned, and others will drag on beyond this three month period.
This will not be a good time for the power structure in Washington.
I look all over the United States to see where one of the planets
may be angular. In such a city, there will be conditions and events
described by the nature of the planet. The Sun is exactly on the
descendant when the Libra Ingress chart is drawn for Quincy, Illinois;
Des Moines, Iowa; Davenport, Iowa; and La Crosse, Wisconsin. One
or more of these cities could be highlighted and receive much attention
during the next three months. Jupiter is on the Ascendant in the
chart drawn for San Francisco, bringing something good to San Francisco.
